Valluvar Kottam

Valluvar Kottam is a memorial and an auditorium in Chennai located 5.3 km from The Raintree Hotels. Constructed in 1976 to honour the Tamil poet-saint Tiruvalluvar who wrote the famous piece 'Thirukkural', the structure is shaped like a temple chariot. Inside is a life-size statue of Tiruvalluvar. As for the auditorium, it can hold up to 4,000 people, making it the largest one of its kind in Asia.
